When Klaudia and Thomasz decided to say “I do” by the sea, they chose one of the most stunning destinations Croatia has to offer: Krk Island in Istria. Organized by the talented Paulina from Marry Croatia, this wedding was a true celebration of love, family, and unpredictable weather!
As a wedding photographer specializing in destination weddings in Croatia, I was thrilled to capture their big day. Klaudia and Thomasz, a sweet couple from Poland, brought their adorable three-year-old son along to share in the joy. The setting? A breathtaking beach wedding in Vrbnik on Krk Island, where the turquoise waters of the Adriatic provided a dreamy backdrop.
But Croatia had a surprise in store for us. While summer in Croatia almost always guarantees sunny skies, this particular day had something different planned—rain, rain, and more rain! Luckily, I’d already suggested that everyone bring transparent umbrellas. And let me tell you, transparent umbrellas are a photographer’s best friend! They not only kept everyone dry but also added a romantic touch to the photos.
The ceremony was unforgettable. One moment, we were basking in sunshine; the next, we were sheltering from a dramatic summer storm. It was as if the weather was as emotional as the vows being exchanged. Despite the downpour, Klaudia and Thomasz stayed radiant, proving that love truly shines through any storm.

Een magische bruiloft in Kroatië: Klaudia & Thomasz’s trouw ceremonie op het eiland Krk
Toen Klaudia en Thomasz besloten om hun liefde te vieren aan zee, kozen ze een van de mooiste plekken die Kroatië te bieden heeft: het eiland Krk in Istrië. Georganiseerd door de fantastische Paulina van Marry Croatia, werd deze dag een onvergetelijke viering van liefde, familie en… wisselvallig weer!
Als bruiloftsfotograaf gespecialiseerd in destination weddings in Kroatië, was ik ontzettend enthousiast om hun bijzondere dag vast te leggen. Klaudia en Thomasz, een superlief stel uit Polen, hadden hun schattige zoontje van drie jaar meegenomen. De setting? Een sprookjesachtig strandhuwelijk in Vrbnik op het eiland Krk, met de azuurblauwe Adriatische Zee als achtergrond.
Maar Kroatië had een verrassing in petto. Hoewel de zomers in Kroatië vrijwel altijd garant staan voor stralend weer, zorgde deze dag voor een flinke portie regen! Gelukkig had ik al tegen Paulina gezegd dat iedereen het beste transparante paraplu’s kon meenemen. En wat was ik blij dat ze dat gedaan hadden! Deze paraplu’s hielden iedereen niet alleen droog, maar zorgden ook voor een prachtig romantisch effect op de foto’s.
De ceremonie was er een om nooit te vergeten. Het ene moment genoten we van de zon, en het volgende moment schuilden we voor een zomerse stortbui. Het weer leek net zo emotioneel als de geloften die werden uitgewisseld. Ondanks de regen bleven Klaudia en Thomasz stralen, en dat leverde de meest bijzondere beelden op.

Čarobno vjenčanje u Hrvatskoj: Klaudia i Thomasz na otoku Krku
Kada su Klaudia i Thomasz odlučili reći “da” uz more, odabrali su jednu od najljepših lokacija u Hrvatskoj: otok Krk u Istri. Organizirano od strane talentirane Pauline iz Marry Croatia, ovo vjenčanje bilo je pravo slavlje ljubavi, obitelji i… nepredvidivog vremena!
Kao fotograf za vjenčanja specijaliziran za destination weddings u Hrvatskoj, bila mi je čast zabilježiti njihov poseban dan. Klaudia i Thomasz, presladak par iz Poljske, poveli su i svog trogodišnjeg sina kako bi podijelili radost tog dana. Lokacija? Prekrasna plaža u Vrbniku na otoku Krku, s tirkiznim Jadranskim morem kao savršenom pozadinom.
No, Hrvatska nam je pripremila iznenađenje. Iako ljeto u Hrvatskoj gotovo uvijek donosi sunčano nebo, ovaj dan bio je drugačiji—kiša, kiša i još kiše! Srećom, savjetovala sam Paulini da svi ponesu prozirne kišobrane. Ovi kišobrani ne samo da su sve zaštitili od kiše, već su dodali romantičnu notu fotografijama.
Ceremonija je bila nezaboravna. U jednom trenutku uživali smo na suncu, a u drugom smo tražili zaklon od ljetnog pljuska. Kao da je i vrijeme bilo jednako emotivno kao i zavjeti koje su Klaudia i Thomasz izmijenili. Unatoč kiši, njihova ljubav sjajila je kroz svaki trenutak.
